relaxed, nutrient-rich & completely without pressure
Hey Mom, your body is doing amazing things every day during pregnancy. It's building a little miracle – cell by cell, around the clock. And for that, it needs good energy. The best news: you don't have to follow a perfect diet. It's not about prohibitions or strict rules, but about lovingly supporting yourself and your baby.
Listen to your body – it knows what it's doing.
During pregnancy, your tastes, your appetite, and sometimes even your relationship with food change. This is perfectly normal. If you listen to your body, it will often intuitively guide you to what you need. Small snacks, warm meals, or fresh fruit – everything has its time.
A few nutrients are especially important now to provide you with energy and allow your baby to grow optimally:
Don't worry: You don't need to keep a perfect eye on every value. Often a balanced diet and – if recommended – a good pregnancy supplement are enough.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, eggs, nuts, healthy oils, and fish are among the true power foods during this time. But just as important: Enjoy! A piece of cake or some chips on the sofa won't make you a worse mom—they'll make you human.
What you should avoid
There are only a few things you should really avoid, and all without drama:
Not out of fear, but because your immune system now works differently.
Drinking enough fluids helps prevent circulatory problems, fatigue, and nausea. Water, tea, or diluted juices are great choices – and yes, a soft drink now and then is perfectly fine too.
Eating perfectly isn't the goal. Pregnancy is a sensitive, emotional, and sometimes exhausting time. If you feel good about your food, take good care of yourself, and are kind to yourself, you're on the right track. You are the best mom for your baby—every day, with every meal.
