Maternity tights for every look
Thanks to our experience since 2004, we can give you plenty of tips on what to look for when buying maternity tights. Your belly and skin are particularly sensitive during the coming months, so you should definitely pay attention to pleasantly soft, skin-friendly materials. Your maternity tights should also be elastic and not constrict or even squeeze you, especially around your belly. Almost all of our maternity tights have a flexible over-the-belly band, as this supports your growing belly at all times and gives it the necessary room. 3D maternity tights Made from innovative knit fabric, it is particularly shape-giving and durable, giving you extra support, especially in the last months of your pregnancy.
Wondering what the denier number means? As a general rule: the lower the number, the more transparent and finer the maternity tights. Conversely, the higher the denier number, the more opaque the material. Our 40 denier maternity tights are typically semi-opaque. Tights with only 15 denier, on the other hand, are particularly fine and transparent. Maternity tights are considered opaque from approximately 60 denier upwards.
Especially in winter, you shouldn't go without maternity tights. You can wear them not only with dresses and skirts, but also under your maternity trousers. This way, you're guaranteed to stay warm. Opt for models with a high denier rating, between 70 and 180 deniers, as these provide extra warmth. In cold temperatures, you can also combine them with over-the-knee socks and boots.
For special occasions or in spring and summer, maternity tights with a lower denier in nude are a lovely choice, as they feel like a whisper against your skin and allow it to show through delicately. This looks particularly elegant, and you can still wear something over your legs without compromising the lightness of your look. However, it's best to avoid dresses with bold prints, otherwise your outfit will look very busy and disjointed.
