In our range, you'll find two different types of babywearing jackets. Number 1: with a special baby insert. You can comfortably wear these jackets even during pregnancy. The special cut or an extra maternity insert ensures that your growing baby bump has plenty of room. With the extra baby insert, which you can easily zip in using the zipper system, you can easily convert the maternity jacket into a babywearing jacket after the birth. In many cases, the baby insert has an extra hood to protect your little one from wind and weather.
Model number 2: This one has a special feature. Instead of two different inserts, you only get one zip-in insert. The clever part: During pregnancy, you zip it in one way, giving your belly the necessary room to grow. After giving birth, you simply turn the insert around, and the jacket fits over your baby carrier. Even without the insert, the jacket is then a "regular" jacket. Great, right? What should I dress my baby in under the babywearing jacket?
Underneath a babywearing jacket, you'll naturally need to dress your baby less than if you were putting them in a stroller. Since you're carrying them close to your body, your body heat will warm them. Our babywearing jackets are also designed to protect your little one from the cold. To prevent your baby from overheating, you should avoid thick winter coats or snowsuits. Simply dress your baby in one more layer than you would yourself (not counting your jacket).
To check if your baby is too warm or too cold, simply feel the area between their shoulder blades. If it's warm and moist, your little one is too warm. If it's rather cool, you should put a light jacket on them. Also, make sure they're wearing comfortable clothing under the baby carrier, such as leggings or tights, so they can sit comfortably. Don't forget a hat and thick socks or shoes in cooler temperatures!
